GIIS Malaysia Scales New Heights

We are proud to announce that the GIIS Kuala Lumpur has become the first school in Malaysia to win the International Asia Pacific Quality Organization (IAPQO) “Best in Class Award for Education”.

We believe this is a clear sign of the effectiveness of our quality mantra for educational success that GIIS KL has been chosen for this award, which comes very close on the heels of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Industry Excellence.

As all of you would recall, earlier this year, our school won the Malaysia Productivity Corporation’s (MPC) Prime Minister’s Award for Industry Excellence 2009, thus making GIIS KL the only international school to win this prestigious honour.

The latest International APQO awards were given away at a glittering function held during the Organization’s 16th International Conference on Quality at Kathmandu in Nepal between September 18-20, 2010. Class X Students Excel: Singapore, India, Malaysia, Japan Students Excel

Competing in their first board exams with inestimable students across India and overseas, GIIS students across six campuses in Queenstown (Singapore), RSK  (India), KL (Malaysia), East Coast (Singapore), Gandhidham (India) and Tokyo (Japan) have established a superior meritorious status by scoring the highest marks. Teams of students, teachers and coordinators led by Principals in all campuses have made it worth their endeavours to reach for the zenith.

Seven GIIS students have scored the perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) – 6 from RSK and 1 from Queenstown, Singapore.

• RSK: More than 60% students have secured over 80 %; Highest GPA is 10

• GIIS Queenstown: 38% of students scored a CGPA (Cumulative GPA) of 9.6 and above;  90% of students got a perfect score of 10 in IT and 71% got a perfect score in Maths; 85% of students scored 9 and above in English and 80% scored 9 and above in ScienceContinue Reading…
