    CBSE at GIIS - a long history of excellence

    Samvid Kurelkar, who graduated from GIIS after completing his Grade 12 with CBSE in 2015, is currently pursuing Master of Biochemistry (MBiochem) course at Trinity College in the University of Oxford under the Simon and June Li Scholarship 2015-2019. Samvid found the teachers at GIIS “incredibly supportive” and he is thankful to the school for providing him with the stepping stone to a wide choice of science courses in universities abroad.

    Adyasha Debahuti Mohanty, a GIIS alumni, who completed her Garde 12 from CBSE in 2015, secured a spot in the prestigious Georgia Tech University for a degree in Aerospace Engineering.  Adyasha says, “through various research projects at school I prepared myself for the challenges of advanced studies at the university level.” She especially recounts – the one-year project on mass mechanical production methods of graphene at NTU, her visit to NASA’s Goddard Space Center and Lockheed Martin’s headquarters in Bethesda which aroused her interest in the field that she is pursuing as her career now.

    GIIS has a popular scholarship Programme that draws the best of the talent to the school who become epitome of excellence for the rest of the cohort, inspiring each and every student to raise their performance standard.

    Saurabh Unercat, who was our first CBSE scholar to complete Grade 12 in 2010, is currently working in the field of Artificial Intelligence at Amazon in Seattle. Saurabh went to Carnegie Mellon University to do his Masters. He recently visited GIIS SMART Campus for an Alumni Talk and shared useful tips with the students who are at the cusp of a career choice. He also spoke about the unlimited opportunities of AI in close future.

CBSE students at GIIS have been consistently achieving great results and making their way up to top universities leading to successful career.
