The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is known to encourage independent and inquiry-based learning in primary students. At GIIS, our students in the PYP are encouraged to pursue self-led learning at every level - from the way they choose to arrange their classrooms and decorate the walls to the mini exhibitions held each year for Grades 1-5.
A 21st-century education is one that responds to the fast-paced economic, technological and attitudinal shifts happening in society. This framework readies students to succeed in a world where more than half the jobs of the future don't even exist yet.
When visiting a primary school section, like here in GIIS, it is usual to expect students involved in colourful, fun-looking playful group activities as part of their curriculum.
